In 11v11 soccer, players should work on improving their passing, dribbling, agility, and shooting skills.
Skills
Passing: A key skill for all players
Dribbling: An important skill for both strikers and midfielders
Agility: Helps strikers score and midfielders make plays
Shooting: An important skill for all players
Formations
Some common formations for 11v11 soccer include:
4-2-3-1: Two holding midfielders create balance, while a playmaker has freedom to create
4-1-4-1: One holding midfielder and an advanced box-to-box midfielder
4-3-3: Wide players are higher up in the attack, with more freedom to move around
4-3-3 w dual 8s: Two box-to-box midfielders create a defensive presence in the midfield
4-4-2 diamond: A strong formation for defending in a low block
3-4-3: Creates an overload of attackers out wide, which creates space between them and the opposing players
Goalkeeper
The goalkeeper position is considered difficult because of the high level of skill and mental resilience required.
